Parking:Parking is not validated by the Court. Free parking is not available. Public parking is located in pay lots surrounding the Lucas County Courthouse. The daily parking fees range from $4.00 to $6.00 per day. It is recommended that you bring cash. The pay lots do not accept debit cards
Directions:Take US-23 to I-475 East. Take I-475 East to I-75 South. Take Exit 202A (Washington Street, Downtown), keep to left lane. Exit merges into 11th Street (One way going North). Stay on 11th Street until you reach Adams Street. Turn right onto Adams Street. Courthouse is located on left-handed side of Adams Street between Michigan Street and Erie Street

About / Additional Info:The Lucas County Court of Common Pleas is the trial court of general jurisdiction. This means that it hears felony cases as well as civil disputes where the amount of money in controversy exceeds $500 and also has exclusive jurisdiction over civil cases exceeding $15,000. There are various specialized units within each operation. Ten judges currently serve in the general division. As a part of their judicial office they conduct pre-trials, schedule deadlines, rule on motions, and hear both jury and bench trials.
